Professor Brian Quinn
CEO / Founder
Ecotoxicologist with >20 years’ experience in biomarker development; secured >£3.5 million in research funding; received fellowships from the Canadian and Irish governments; 3 years’ business experience as managing director of family business.

Dr Graeme Dear
Chairman
Former Managing Director at Marine Harvest Scotland with extensive experience and an established name in the aquaculture sector, working as Consultant in Aquaculture, Poultry and Protein industries.

John Allan
Non-Executive Director
Former EVP & CTO of the NASDAQ listed Quotient group; >40 years’ experience in healthcare diagnostics industry; extensive knowledge of the global regulatory & in-vitro diagnostics market.

Ian Hamilton
Business Advisor / Consultant
Holds senior positions within the agricultural sector, including Chairman of the dairy genetics business Vytelle (formerly Cogent IVF) and agrochemical supply business Zantra. He also has a consultancy with food safety specialist Anitox, is a Non-Executive Advisor to Wheatsheaf Investments and continues to chair his own private portfolio of companies. Ian holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture from the University of Edinburgh.

Technical team

Dr Josip Barisic
Clinical Chemistry Lead
Veterinary degree and PhD from the University of Zagreb Croatia; extensive experience in clinical chemistry and fish health; Has been working on clinical chemistry in fish since 2016.

Dr Carolina Fernandez
Research Scientist
Biology degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and PhD in Aquatic Veterinary Studies from the University of Stirling in gill Health in Atlantic salmon. Current position funded by SAIC.

Dr Dianne Hillyard
Chief Laboratory Officer
BSc and PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Glasgow; extensive knowledge of laboratory techniques & regulatory requirements.

Ms Lisa Melville
Laboratory Officer
Environmental Health BSC (University of Strathclyde) and MSc in Biomedical Science (University of Glasgow); extensive knowledge of laboratory techniques. Current position funded by SAIC.

Dr Pablo Casaseca

Associate Professor University de Valladolid (Spain); Specialist in data science and algorithm development.
